On the feast day of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, we received 22 Final Professed members of the Third Order Carmelites (TOC) Prosperidad Chapter. They were all received by Fr. Sirenio T. Jaranilla, O.Carm., the TOC Regional Spiritual Director after 7 years of waiting. Fr. Tim Jusayan meanwhile was left in San Francisco as he has to do more than 100 baptisms and celebrate the Fiesta Mass of Barangay 5 under the patronage of Saint Therese. In the afternoon, Fr. Toto gave a talk on Carmelite Saints to the Carmel Youth. He then joined the Parish Pastoral Council Monthly Meeting.

Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, we had a morning Mass and enjoyed a cake offered by a parishioner. Today, the new water tank that can hold 1000 liters water is put in place by Junting and our co-workers working on the House repairs. We also had our first supper upstairs as we moved the kitchen back to the old convent. We were joined by the Associates during Supper.

Fr. Tim arrived from the prior's meeting in Manila. The community proceeded to Rosario at 6pm for the Community night. We had a good dinner and we sang the night away as a community. Fr. Emman was very busy as preparations were on its pitched high as the next morrow would be the Fiesta of Our Lady Rosary Parish.

The community joined Fr. Emman in the celebration of the Annual Fiesta of Rosario. The Mass celebrant Bishop Zacarias Jimenez encourage the people to bond together like the Rosary in fighting ecological destruction, upholding family ties... he shared that the rosary is a kind of summary of our lives. We experience joys, sorrows, glories and we are always enlightened by our Lord through our faith. Like the Rosary, we are connected to everything else... or as the ecological principle: everything is connected to everything else. After the Mass, we the community joined the people of Rosario in a festive dinner.

The co-workers with Frs. Eddie Albino, Rico Ponce, Toots Buenafe and Edgar Cayanan arrived here for a three-day retreat and recreation. The community warmly welcomed them to Agusan del Sur. Their way was from Davao City. They passed by the crocodile farm of Agusan marsh and got a view of Lolong, the biggest croc discovered alive.

The first session of the co-workers and the visiting friars started. After lunch, they took a dip at the Lapag, Diwata Swimming pool.

The co-workers had their outing in Tinuy-an Falls with our prior, Fr. Tim Jusayan. Despite of the stormy weather, they enjoyed the day there.

The day began very early at around 4am as the co-workers who are on retreat and recreation here decided to go to Enchanted River in Hinatuan, Surigao.

The book 30 days Carmelite Retreat Guide was then launched during the evening Mass with Fr. Edgar Cayanan, presiding with the co-celebrant Fr. Rico Ponce. Fr. Toto Jaranilla was very thankful to the parishioners who bought the books. After the book launching, a despedida meal followed with some videoke music that went up to 12 midnight. That was a long day then.

The co-workers left San Francisco, Agusan del Sur thankful of their experiences here. They took a van but they had to pass by Fr. Emman Vallega's parish for lunch as he prepared for their coming.

Fr. Toto Jaranilla left San Francisco, Agusan del Sur for Davao. He was bound for Manila and had to take the plane in Davao. He travelled to attend the Asian Bursars' Assembly.

On the feast day of Teresa of Avila, the book Carmelite Retreat for 30 days was launched in Manila. More than a hundred tertiaries, sisters, confraternity members, youths and friends of Carmel joined the launching. A public lecture was given by Ms. Angie Blardony Ureta about Teresa of Avila. After her talk, the launching commenced. After the launching, the guests bought books from the Institute of Spirituality in Asia.

The Asian Bursars with the Curia met in the Carmelite Missionaries Retreat House in Tagaytay. They discussed common cooperation in the Region of Asia-Australia-Oceania especially on the area of fund-raising. Points for cooperation were thoroughly discussed. Fr. Toto Jaranilla, member of the Curia Oeconomus Commission discussed with the group.

The Commission on Youth was convened by Fr. Toto Jaranilla to follow-up on the proposed plan of Carmel Youth 2nd Assembly which will be held in Escalante City, Negros Occidental this coming April 2012. As an opening salvo of the said activity, the image of Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Escalante will visit all our Carmelite centers with the important role of the youth to promote the devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Fr. Toto arrived back in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. He learned that Frs. Jusayan and Vallega attended the Presbyterium in Butuan City the day before. Fr. Balasabas on this day went to Butuan to attend the ACEA meeting with some of the faculty. Fr. Toto celebrated the afternoon Mass and also a special Mass to the Depatment of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Fr. Toto celebrated the morning Mass. The postulants are now on the third day of their processing with Ms. Cynthia Lakip.
